The 7D Dark Ride Adventure is a thrilling experience that will challenge your skills through the adventure it takes you on! This ride is located at The Island in Pigeon Forge, TN, and it is an interactive game that is fun for both family and friends!
My sister, her boyfriend, and I decided to take the challenge and blast our way through the Road Fighters state of the art immersion shooting game. Before you start the game, there is a guide that helps prepare you for whats to come and the obstacles you’ll have to face through the adventure.
You first start with a practice round that gets you ready and prepared before the actual game begins. As you sit in the sense of motion chair, you begin to feel like you’re apart of the game, with the added bonus of a 7D affect! As your chair shifts, you’re trying to virtually shoot the bad guys! In the Road Fighters shooting game, the bad guys were coming toward us and we were trying to fight back! They provide wind as a special effect to make it feel like you’re moving backwards while defending yourself!
The 7D Dark Ride Adventure was very entertaining while virtually shooting off the bad guys, and while having fun with my friends! The guides Paul and Dexton helped assist us with the ride and were great help!
If you’re curious to see what the chairs are like before you go into the actual game, they provide a set outside for you to experience before hand, so you get a glimpse of what the actual ride is like!
After the thrilling 7D Dark Ride Adventure, we headed to the Arcade City just a few doors down to keep the competition rolling.
As we began to play the different arcade games, it was evident that my sister was a pro at the different games they had to offer. We all played Down the Clown, and she had the highest score of 240 points! This was one of mine and my sisters favorite game to play at the Arcade City!
Next, my sister and her boyfriend wanted to compete in air hockey! This was a different style of air hockey because it has multiple pucks that come down so you can rack up many points! It was very entertaining to watch them both compete for the highest score on this one!
My sister and I love to compete head on head with Skee-Ball and Electronic Basketball! I beat her in Skee-Ball and she beat me in basketball, but only by 10 points! I was so close!
The Arcade City also has a Wizard of Oz game where you can gain massive points by collecting special Oz cards! The more you collect the more goodies you get! I would definitely recommend checking the game out as it is super popular and awesome to play!
We all three had a great and entertaining time at both the 7D Dark Ride Adventure and at the Arcade City! It was an action-packed day for a little friendly competition.

Amazing attention to detail was put into creating the 7D Dark Ride Adventure, located in the heart of The Island in Pigeon Forge. Upon entering the ride, you are placed in the center of a breathtaking battle between your group and robots, zombies, or werewolves. You will be tasked with defeating your selected foes using the weaponry provided in the game theater.
The game theater moves with the action on the screen, which you view through special glasses. The special effects beautifully bring the terrifying scene to life whether it is the zombie invasion or robot attack. The comfy and supportive seats move, rumble, and shake. Sound whirls all around the gaming theater, keeping everyone alert and on their toes. You can even feel the wind whip through your hair as the theater moves you through the battleground.
The beautiful graphics onscreen never fail to impress as you shoot at the screen to vanquish your foes. Avoid the civilians, however, or you could lose points and your shot at being a hero. At the end of the game, the screen will display pictures of the top five players with the winner highlighted at the top. Your group members can compare high scores and vow to beat your personal records on the next round.
You can elect to just go on one ride with your theme of choice — or take the round trip with one ticket for all three. On busy days, the lines can take about 45 minutes to get through, though the wait is usually much shorter. This ride is well worth the wait, however long, as it is the only place to get such an immersive gaming experience.
While you wait, the staff will undoubtedly go above and beyond in explaining how the ride works and what to expect. They are also there to help everyone make the most of their experience.
